Parul: Tell us about what Chinese new year means to you.

Carrie-Ann: Chinese new year has been celebrated in my family since I was a young girl in Hawaii, we used to watch the Lion dance and music.  Its intended to bring good luck, and there is so much great symbolism in everything.  Hosting big dinners with family was a think we did.
(P): We hear you are hosting a Chinese New Year Party – tell us about it?

(CA): My fiance and I love entertaining with family and friends.  This year we are doing it with the help of PF Changs home menu.  Our dinner style serves 6 – 8 people, community style.  The PF Chang’s home menu items have authentic and bold flavors.  Food in Chinese New Year has symbolism (dumplings, noodles, ending with an orange), these all have meaning.

(P): What are some of the traditional foods you will serve and which are your favorites?

Definitely dumplings, veggie spring rolls for vegetarians, rices, noodles and my favorite dessert- fruit. The PF Chang’s home menu items I will serve are all rest quality, with bold flavors.  They were co-developed by the co-founder of PF Changs bistro.  Each item can be made in under 15 minutes, which is great when hosting.
